Mid South Delta Initiative

LITTLE ROCK, AR – (Jan. 31, 2008) – The Mid South Delta Initiative launched a new website today featuring details of the transformation underway in the Delta region of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Visit www.liftingupthedelta.com to read the stories and participate in the changes taking place in the region.

Using the same title of the transformation’s official campaign “Lifting up the Delta” the website features an electronic newsletter, scrolling images and an interactive component called “1,000 Signs of Possibility.”

Photos and descriptions of dynamic elements known as the “1,000 Signs of Possibility” depict the wonders of the Delta region, which MSDI targets as 55 counties and parishes in northeast and southeast Arkansas, mid to northwest Mississippi and northeast Louisiana. Add “Signs” to be highlighted and we’ll make sure they appear on the website.

MSDI is the Jackson, Miss., - based arm of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, which has spent over 10 years assuring the transformation of the Delta occurs at the hands of Delta residents who are committed to Lifting up the Delta.
